The team at a south west telecoms business are embarking on a collective weight loss challenge over the next eight weeks, which will see them lose the weight equivalent of 2550 pieces of sushi.

Helping Pure Comms achieve their goal is Ed Iles, the company’s former personal trainer whose dedication and positive attitude saw him appointed full-time at the company last year as Customer Services Executive.

Through regular in-house training sessions with Ed, the Pure Comms team – who currently stand at a combined weight of 1026kg – are aiming for an overall loss of 51.3kg or the equivalent of 510 blueberry muffins; 102 kittens or 73 iPads.

Managing Director, Rob Vivian comments: “Getting fit is a great way to help the team perform at our best and through encouragement, cajoling or plain old nagging each other we will achieve our weight loss goal.

“The reward of a celebratory night out is also helping foster the ‘can do’ outlook we apply to every other challenge we are presented with.”

Pure Comms has been in business for seven years and has two offices, one just outside of Bristol and one in St Austell in Cornwall.

The business works with a number of high-profile clients including Bristol Airport, BWOC, Opus, Computerworld and Redrock Consulting.
