A fast-growing telecoms provider have appointed a new member to its team.
Grace Williams has joined PureComms as HR Manager at the company’s St Austell office, bringing with her a passion and enthusiasm for the role.
Grace has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Plymouth University. Before this, she received a certificate in Human Resource from Truro College.
Grace’s background is in retail management. She previously worked as an Area Manager for clothing company Apricot and, after moving from Cornwall to London, she worked for British multinational retailer Arcadia Group.
Keen to explore the people aspect of her previous roles, but wanting to move away from retail, Grace moved back to the south-west to take on a HR opportunity at PureComms.
Grace’s appointment follows a record year of trading for PureComms, which saw the company exceed £2m turnover for the first time in its seven-year history.
The firm achieved the milestone figure despite having originally aimed to hit a turnover of £1.7 million.
Grace comments: “I had lived in London for 7 years but knew I wanted to stay in the south west. This opportunity at PureComms allows me to remain in the west in a job I am passionate about.
“It is an exciting time to be joining PureComms. The company has grown year on year and HR can make a real difference in growing firms. Looking forwards there is opportunity to set up a HR function from scratch in Pure Comm’s St Austel office.”
Rob Vivian, CEO of PureComms, commented: “We’re delighted that Grace is joining our team. “It’s not often a business can welcome somebody of Grace’s calibre through its door, so we’re very excited about her appointment.”
“As we scale up the business and achieve more turnover it means bringing on board more staff. Grace’s experience in HR makes her a perfect fit for the business and she will work with senior managers and directors at PureComms to ensure the business continues to grow.
“Going forward we have plans to employ more staff to continue to deliver world-class IT and Telecoms services across Bristol, the South West and the UK.”
PureComms has been in business for seven years and has two offices, one just outside of Bristol and one in St Austell in Cornwall.
The business works with numerous high-profile clients including Bristol Airport, Bonhams, Opus, and the Co-operative to provide a range of Telecoms and IT products and services.
