On Friday 11th February, PureComms had the privilege of sponsoring Bristol Bears premiership game against London Irish at home at Ashton Gate Stadium.
This was an amazing opportunity for our team of rugby-lovers, a few of whom got to watch a Bristol Bears game in real life for the first time. Starting the evening with a select handful of our customers in the Lansdown restaurant, we enjoyed a 3-course meal, complimentary drinks and a player Q&A hosted by Bristol Sports Head of Communications, Lisa Knight.
Heading out into the stadium, we had an epic view of the game as Bears led 15-10 at half time. Unfortunately, going into the second half, Irish made the most of a red card against Bristol’s Naulago and stormed ahead – despite a valiant last-minute effort from Bristol, Irish won 49-32.
Regardless of the result, an enjoyable evening was had by all. Having the opportunity to treat our hard-working staff and longstanding clients was really special, and seeing our PureComms branding lit up around the stadium further cemented our presence across Bristol and reminded us of the reasons why supporting local is so important to us.
A huge thank you must go out to Bristol Sport and Ashton Gate for their hospitality and managing to pull the evening off without a hitch! I’m sure we’ll see you again next year…
