A south west telecoms firm is celebrating a record year after exceeding £2m turnover for the first time in its seven-year history.

PureComms posted a record turnover of £2.1m for the year ending February 2016, an increase of (56%) on turnover from the previous year.

The firm achieved the milestone figure despite having originally aimed to hit a turnover of £1.7 million.

PureComms, which has two offices – one based just outside of Bristol and one in Cornwall – work with numerous high-profile clients to provide a range of Telecoms and IT products and services.

Rob Vivian, who is CEO and company founder, says the record-breaking year was a combination of the acquisition of new clients and growth of its existing customers – with big brand customers such as Cooperative Group giving the company more contracts to oversee.

He says: “We are obviously delighted with the results that have been achieved this year. Business is hard but made doubly so when you start in the middle of a recession; but thanks to the brilliant team here and our continued investment in technology and resources, we’ve managed to achieve year on year growth.”

As well as exceeding its growth targets for 2016, Rob and the team also held several charity fundraising events throughout the year including Rob’s sponsored trek to the summit of Mount Kinabalu in Borneo.

Altogether, Pure Comms raised more than £6,000 for their chosen charity, Children’s Hospice South West.
